NHS Luton is the Primary Care Trust responsible for healthcare in Luton and South Bedfordshire. Its main priority is the health inequalities of Luton and its surrounding areas. Luton has a particularly diverse community with certain groups at a higher risk of ill health than others, so NHS Luton works closely with Luton Borough Council to guarantee all health issues are recognised, addressed and improved.
We were approached by the communications department at NHS Luton and asked to build an accessibility-driven website, controlled via a bespoke content management system. Greater usability and faster performance improves the user experience, while a custom-built CMS gives NHS Luton comprehensive control of their content. The website was so well received that we were soon asked to develop a bespoke staff intranet and an intuitive E-Learning Zone.
